Feel like things are always going wrong?
Here’s how developing a growth mindset can help.

You can’t change what happens…but you can change how you feel about it and what you do about it.
For example; I lost my car, it was a right off. It was very sad to say goodbye to it, it gave me the freedom to be freelance. Losing it meant I lost work and suffered a loss of earnings. However, I chose to see it as an opportunity to get on the ground, walk to places, get public transport and since then I noticed more shops and met people I wouldn’t have if I was driving. I also feel very grateful for my body and my health. The fact it’s spring and the weather is nice and I am out and about feel positive.
I know it won’t be forever but for now I am enjoying this opportunity. It’s not an obstacle. It’s a time to let go of who I was and maybe some of those jobs and start looking for something different.
My top 3 tips for a growth mindset
- Look for the lessons. Even bad things there is something we can learn from it.
- Adapt an attitude of gratitude everyday look for 3 things you are grateful for and you’ll start to see them.
- See obstacles as opportunities because this expands your solution or creative brain and there may be something you hadn’t thought of that may be able to help
